Why we give
The world is not evenly lit.
Almost 10% of the world's population lives on less than US$2.15 per day, less than the cost of an average light bulb.
The bright side is that relatively small amounts of money, thoughtfully donated, can do huge amounts of good.
Together, we can flip the switch on disadvantage and inequality. Businesses can be a key part of the solution, working together to spark a brighter and more equitable future for all.
And the best bit? It can happen as a by-product of a new office fitout, energy efficiency project, maintenance program, or stadium build.
The model in two numbers
Every project helps push the same promise forward.
How we choose
We give where the next dollar can go further.
Give Industries is not trying to choose charities by instinct alone. We want to light up as many lives as possible, so the giving needs to be thoughtful, evidence-led, and useful for people and communities who can benefit most.
Need
Start where money can light up lives.
We look for areas where relatively modest donations can help prevent disease, restore sight, improve health, or support communities facing serious disadvantage.Evidence
Choose work sparking real change.
We favour charities with evidence-backed programs, practical delivery, and clear reporting, so the giving is more than a good intention.Expertise
Be guided by the experts.
Just as clients should trust an expert electrician rather than do complex electrical work themselves, we rely on charity experts with clear, transparent data rather than trying to do all the research alone.Staying power
Keep the business strong enough to keep giving.
Profit committed to charity is distributed over time, helping protect cashflow while making sure future giving can keep growing.Guided by transparent charity research.
We use advice from The Life You Can Save, GiveWell, and Giving What We Can to help direct donations toward charities with strong evidence, cost-effectiveness, and a clear path to impact. Their role is not to replace judgement, but to keep our judgement grounded in data.
The milestone
Seven years to the first million. Now the job is to scale it.
In October 2025, Give Industries reached its first major giving goal: $1m raised for charity since starting in 2019.
Raised for charity, milestone reached October 2025
Profit committed to charity is held for charitable use and distributed over time. That helps protect cashflow, strengthen the business, and keep future giving sustainable.
Distributed impact
Small team. Outsized outcomes.
Give Industries is a team of fewer than 20 people, but the distributed donations have already helped fund outcomes far beyond our size. We receive detailed impact data from charity partners and trusted evaluators, helping us understand what those donations have helped make possible.

Questions worth asking
How the model works.
Impact can sound simple from the outside. The important part is doing it in a way that is honest, useful, and strong enough to keep going.
Why does Give Industries give 100% of profit?
Give was built around a simple idea: useful trade work can fund useful change. We still need to run a strong business, pay people properly, invest in systems, and deliver quality work. After that, every dollar of profit is committed to charity.
How do you choose where to give?
We look for charities doing high-impact work, especially in global health, poverty reduction, eye health, and First Nations community energy. We consider evidence, cost-effectiveness, transparency, delivery quality, and advice from trusted charity evaluators.
Why not choose every charity yourselves?
Good intentions are not enough. We are electricians, not global health researchers. Evaluators such as The Life You Can Save, GiveWell, and Giving What We Can help compare programs, review evidence, and identify charities that can turn donations into measurable outcomes.
What does raised for charity mean?
Raised for charity refers to profit committed to charitable use through Give Industries donation tracking. Some funds are distributed immediately and some are held for distribution over time, so the business can remain resilient and keep giving sustainably.
Can clients include this in social procurement reporting?
Many clients work with Give because our model helps connect everyday electrical, solar, maintenance, and construction spend with social value. We can provide information about our certification, profit giving, apprenticeships, and impact model so your team can decide how it fits your reporting requirements.
Can other business owners talk to Give about building giving into their model?
Yes. We are happy to talk with founders and business owners who are exploring how giving could be built into their own business. The Give model will not suit everyone, but we are glad to share what we have learned.
